Fé 12 'B' Hurling League:

Fr. O' Neills 4-06 : Kiltha Og 2-06

This game was played in sun drenched conditions in Aghavine last Monday evening with a large crowd in attendance to support both teams. O' Neills got off to a great start with early points coming from Padraig Mc Mahon and Shane Lee. Then mid-way through the half Kiltha Og fought back to score three points in quick succession, and it could have been more had it not been for good defending by Adrian Keneally and Kenneth Hegarty, and solid goal keeping by Thomas Millerick. Kiltha Og started the second half brilliantly when they broke through the middle of the field to score a goal, they then followed this with a point. However O' Neills were quickly back in the game with a Joe Millerick goal which was then directly followed by a point from Mark O' Keefe. But Kiltha Og kept coming back and went straight down the field to score a goal. From then on O' Neills defence got on top of their opponents which carried them through to the final whistle.

Fr. O' Neills 3-07      Youghal 1-02

This game was played in Killeagh last Friday. This was the team that won the Fé 13 'C' Hurling final last year against Cloyne, and as a result they went up a grade. O' Neills coped armillary with the step up in grade of hurling. At the back John Bailey, John Barry and Shane Dunne looked solid. In the forwards Liam O' Driscoll, Alan Hayes, Patrick Quinn, played well. As in the Fé 13 final last year the use of 'impact' subs played a major part in the outcome of the game, with Kenneth Hegarty, Robert Cullinane and Darragh Sexton having a major role to play. They now go into a semi-final against Castlelyons, the result of which will beb known by now
